Electrical Connection:

  • The appliance must be earthed.
  • All electrical connections should be made by a qualified electrician.
  • The electrical installation must have an isolation device that allows disconnection from the mains at all poles, with a contact opening width of minimum 3 mm.
  • The hob is supplied with a connection cable. For replacement, use H05BB-F or H03V2V2-F cable that withstands 90 °C or higher.

Usage Features

Control Panel Layout: The hob is operated using sensor fields.

  • ON/OFF (1): Activates/deactivates the hob.
  • Lock / Child Safety Device (2): Locks/unlocks the control panel.
  • Pause (3): Activates/deactivates the pause function, setting all active cooking zones to the lowest heat setting.
  • Heat Setting Display (4): Shows the current heat setting.
  • Timer Indicators (5): Shows for which zone the timer is set.
  • Timer Display (6): Shows the time in minutes.
  • Cooking Zone Selector (7): Selects the cooking zone.
  • Increase/Decrease Time (8): Increases or decreases the time.
  • Set Heat Setting (9): Sets the heat setting.
  • PowerBoost (10): Activates the PowerBoost function.

Activating and Deactivating: Touch the ON/OFF sensor field for 1 second.

Heat Setting: Use the + and - sensor fields to increase or decrease the heat setting.

Using Cooking Zones: Place cookware on the designated cross/square. Induction zones automatically adapt to cookware dimensions. Large cookware can be used on two cooking zones simultaneously.

PowerBoost: Provides extra power to induction cooking zones for a limited time, then automatically reverts to the highest heat setting.

Timer Functions:

  • Count Down Timer: Sets a specific cooking duration for a single zone (00-99 minutes).
  • Minute Minder: Can be used when the hob is activated but cooking zones are not operating.

Lock Function: Locks the control panel to prevent accidental changes to heat settings while cooking zones are active.

Child Safety Device: Prevents accidental operation of the hob.

OffSound Control: Allows deactivation and activation of the hob's sounds.

Automatic Switch Off: The hob deactivates automatically under certain conditions, such as no heat setting after activation, spills on the control panel, overheating, incorrect cookware, or prolonged inactivity on a cooking zone.

Cookware Suitability:

  • Correct: Cast iron, steel, enamelled steel, stainless steel, multi-layer bottom (with correct manufacturer marking).
  • Not correct: Aluminium, copper, brass, glass, ceramic, porcelain.
  • Cookware is suitable if water boils quickly on the highest heat setting or a magnet sticks to the bottom.
  • Cookware bottom should be thick, flat, clean, and dry. Avoid sliding or rubbing pots to prevent scratches.

Power Management: If multiple zones are active and consumed power exceeds the supply limit, the hob automatically divides available power, prioritizing the last selected cooking zone.

Maintenance Features

General Cleaning:

  • Clean the hob after each use.
  • Use cookware with a clean base.
  • Scratches or dark stains do not affect hob operation.
  • Use a special cleaner suitable for the hob surface.
  • Use a special scraper for glass.
  • Switch off the appliance and let it cool down before cleaning.
  • Do not use water spray or steam.
  • Clean with a moist soft cloth and neutral detergents. Avoid abrasive products, cleaning pads, solvents, or metal objects.

Specific Cleaning:

  • Melted plastic, plastic foil, sugar, or sugary food: Remove immediately with a special hob scraper at an acute angle to avoid damage and burns.
  • Limescale rings, water rings, fat stains, shiny metallic discoloration: Clean when the hob is cool with a moist cloth and a non-abrasive detergent. Wipe dry with a soft cloth.
  • Shiny metallic discoloration: Use a solution of water with vinegar and clean with a cloth.

Disposal:

  • Contact municipal authority for disposal information.
  • Disconnect from mains supply and cut off the electrical cable.
  • Recycle packaging in relevant containers.
