Removing the Media Cover (with Black
Bar Sensor)
1. Press the Media Cover button to
open the Media Cover.
2. Disconnect the Black Bar Sensor
Cable (J3) on the Top PCBA.
3. Remove the Media Tub Assembly
from the Lower Housing as detailed on
page 2-24.
4. Use a small TORX driver (e.g. T6)
to push the hinge pin through the
hinges of the Media Cover. Remove the
hinge pin the rest of the way by hand.
5. Remove the Media Cover Assembly
from the Lower Housing. Be sure to
retain the Torsion Spring. (Note that the
Black Bar Cable is still attached to the
Media Tub Assembly.)
6. Remove the Black Bar Cable from
its xed position on the bottom of the
Media Tub to completely remove the
Media Cover Assembly.
