Replace the Tricolor
sensor using Kit Ribbon
Tricolor Sensor ZXP7
P1037750-040. Refer to
the service manual for
installation instructions.
Make sure nothing is
blocking the tricolor
sensor and the sensor
isn’t visibly damaged.
Clean the printer if
necessary.
Are the tricolor sensor
cables loose? Check,
and tighten cables if
necessary.
Recalibrate the Tricolor
sensors in the ZXP7
final test software.
Does the error still
appear?
Is the Tricolor Sensor
Blocked? Open the
printer cover and remove
the ribbon drawer. (See
Pic 3.3 for Tricolor
sensor location)

Is the Tricolor sensor registering
in the driver? Open the Tool
Box and make the Tricolor
sensors indicators are switching
from 0 to 1 and back.

In the Tool Box, are the
Tricolor readings normal?
(Normal readings when
there is no ribbon in are 0
across the sensors)
