GEAR SHIFTING
A 66a A 67 A 68
DRIVING UPHILL
Shift in time when shifting from
the higher speed to the lower
one when going uphill, to avoid
dropping engine speed below
800 RPM and stopping the engi-
ne by overload.
GEAR SHIFTING OF REDUCED
SPEEDS
Shifting lever of road-reduced range can
be shifted at stopped tractor only. Gear
shifting of reduced speeds is the same
as shifting of road speeds. With regard
to the low travel speed of the tractor at
shifting, the tractor must almost always
be moved from the stop.
TRACTOR STOPPING - PARKING
BRAKE
Stop gently and slowly the tractor at nor-
mal conditions. Shortly before stopping
depress the clutch pedal and move the
shifting lever into neutral. Set the parking
brake and so protect the tractor against
accidental movement at each tractor
stopping especially when engine runn-
ing. Parking brake setting is indicated by
indicator lights located on the dash.
