Getting Started
This User’s Manual is organized according to the different ways
that you can use your Bluetooth modem:
• Wirelessly with a Personal Digital Assistant (PDA)
• Wirelessly with a Windows
®
computer
• With a traditional serial cable to a PC, Macintosh, or Linux-
based machine.
Package Contents
Before beginning, make sure that your package includes the
following items.
• 56K modem equipped with Bluetooth wireless technology
• Phone cord (and phone adapter if required)
• Power adapter
• CD
• Velcro
®
to attach the modem to the wall (optional).
If anything is missing or damaged, contact your supplier.
You Will Also Need
To set up a wireless connection to the modem, you will need a
Windows 98SE, Me, 2000, or XP computer or Personal Digital
Assistant (PDA) equipped with Bluetooth wireless technology or a
Bluetooth adapter. Many computers and PDAs include built-in
Bluetooth capability. If yours does not, you will have to purchase
an adapter separately.
