Troubleshooting
If internet access in not working after running the setup wizard:
1. Verify the ISP Parameters & IP Address Assignment settings with
your service provider.
2. Make sure that P1 (WAN Port) on the ZyWALL is connected to
the DSL/Cable modem.
3. If you are using a cable modem, the cache on the modem
will need to be reset. To reset the modem cache you can: (if
the cable modem also provides telephone service, DO NOT
run the reset procedure, contact your ISP for assistance)
• Press and hold down the RESET button for 15 seconds to
clear the cache.
• If the modem does not have a RESET button, power
down for 5 minutes to clear the cache. Remove the
power cable and battery backup (if applicable).
• Contact your cable internet provider to have them
RESET the modem from their end.
4. If you are using a DSL modem please verify that it is in bridge
mode. Most DSL modems are a modem/router combination,
it is highly recommended to contact the internet service
provider and have them place the modem in a bridge mode.
5. Reboot/Restart the ZyWALL.
