NIOSH approved for use only with 3M™ Particulate Respirator 8511 and any color 3M™ Multi Use Duct Tape (1.88
inch [48mm]).

Use For
The 3M™ Particulate Respirator 8511can be used with 3M™ Multi Use Duct Tape (1.88 inch [48mm]) when source control
is required.
Inspection
Inspect the valved respirator and the tape prior to use.
1) Inspect the respirator exhalation valve to ensure there is no damage or missing parts.
2) Inspect the tape for holes and ensure adhesive is intact.
Do not use if the respirator or tape is damaged. Both products have no replaceable components.
