What to do if the 3M Ranger 247 warming unit displays a high temperature alert?
- JJill GonzalezAug 23, 2025
If the alert indicator illuminates and you hear alert sounds, and the display flashes a temperature of 48°C or higher along with the word “HI,” it indicates a temporary over-temperature condition. This can happen due to rapid changes in flow rates, starting the unit before inserting the warming cassette, or using fluids pre-warmed above 42°C. To resolve this, increase the flow to lower the temperature. The alerts will stop when the temperature drops below 48°C, and the unit will be ready for use. If this doesn't work, turn off and unplug the unit, stop the fluid infusion, and avoid pre-warming fluids before using the 3M Ranger irrigation fluid warming unit.
