8.4 Drive chain
Your A2B is equipped with a
high-quality chain. This chain
must be cleaned regularly and
lubricated using a synthetic lubricant
recommended for bicycles.
8.5 Brakes
Check the hydraulic brake lines for signs of wear and fray.
Tightly pull the brake lever and check if the brakes operate properly.
Make sure that the rotors are free from any residues and oil.
Never wait until the brake pads are completely worn out. Replace
the brake pads as required.
If the brake pads look worn out or the brakes do not respond as
usual, you should ask your A2B specialist dealer to check and
replace the brake pads. Brakes are less effective if the road is wet.
If you have to travel in wet weather, always remember that your A2B
has a longer braking distance. Go slower, keep a larger distance
between yourself and other road users and start braking earlier as
usual. Any
non-compliance with these safety measures might lead to
accidents
with severe or even fatal injuries and/or material damage.
If you have any questions on the use of the brakes, please contact
your A2B specialist dealer.
Brake disks and pads must be free from oil and fat.
8.6 Tyres
Check the tyres for damage, cracks and unusual or strong wear and
tear. The tyre should be properly fitted into the rim. Regularly check
the fit of the bead in the rim. Check if the tyre tread is free from any
foreign bodies and the valve straightly protrudes out of the rim.
Damaged or worn out tyres should be replaced immediately.
Take your A2B to an A2B specialist dealer or a qualified bicycle
mechanic to have the tyres repaired and/or replaced, if necessary.
In the unlikely event that you have a puncture, you should be familiar
with the proper method of removing and remounting the front and
rear wheel.
