The meaning of ATEX code is as follows:
II : Group for surface areas (not mines)
1: Category
D: Dust (dangerous media)
T95°C: Maximum surface temperature of the transmitter enclosure with a Ta
(ambient temperature) +75°C for Dust (not Gas). For application with
dust layer between 5 and 50 mm, maximum surface temperature must
be consider according to IEC 61241-14 chapter 6.3.3.3.
(Note: the number close to the CE marking of the transmitter safety label identifies the
Notified Body which carries out the surveillance for the production of the transmitter)
The other marking refers to the protection type used according to relevant EN standards:
Ex iaD 20 : Construction with inside intrinsic safety electronics suitable for Dust -
Zone 20
