‘Latched_Open’ channel (see Figure 9). LHMI close, Remote/SCADA Close and
Reclosing (79) re-close commands are not allowed while in the Latched Open state.
“Latched Open” can be activated through push button 16 [Key 16], circled in the figure
below, which is labeled as “Emergency Open 3 Ph”. A corresponding Pushbutton LED
will be activated to indicate a Latched Open state which can be used as a visual reference.

Once ‘Latched Open’ state is activated, unless it is de-activated, a Close operation will no
longer be possible. The ‘Latched Open’ state can be de-activated by the same push-button,
after a minimal interval of 5 seconds.
The “Figure 31” shows the Auto reclose function with “Latched Open” as one of the input
channel connected. Here when “Latched Open” input activated, it inhibits recloser
function.
