6. Assembly of the switchgear at site
Gas duct with top chimneys
In order to mount the gas duct with top chimneys
please follow the appropriate instructions. The
difference between the two solutions is that in
this case there are no side exits, but the gas
generated from an internal arc exits from the
duct through the top chimneys located on the top
part of the gas duct on each panel. In case a room
disposal doesn’t enable utilization of an outlet
there is a possibility to use a gas duct with top
chimneys. Minimum distance of the panel to the
ceiling of 600 mm must be ensured in case of top
chimneys application. On the top of the gas duct
there are two openings; for each opening the
perforated metal plate must be fixed with 6
spacers.

Note:
For UniGear ZS1 24 kV; 31,5 kA with gas duct with
top chimneys for a duct height of 500 mm it is
necessary to use a deflector. Insert the deflector
onto gus duct - open side in direction of LVC. For
fixation use connecting parts included in gas
duct assembly. Deflector is designed to divert hot
gas away of rear part of panel to shield a staff
behind the panel. It is not necessary to aply the
deflector in case of placing panels directly to wall.
No access from rear side.
