Lift the CB manually or using a suitable hoist, and
place it on the trolley. Ensure Removal of CB
lifting hook arrangement before inserting
in the panel.
Assembly of the switchgear at site:
In order to obtain an optimum installation
sequence and to ensure high quality standards,
site installation of the switchgear should be
carried out only by specially trained and skilled
personnel, or at least supervised and monitored
by authorized and persons responsible.
5.7 General site requirements & floor layout
On commencement of installation on site:
The switchgear-room must be completely
finished
Provided with lighting and electricity supply
Room shall be lockable, dry and with facilities
for ventilation
All the necessary preparations, such as wall
openings, ducts, etc., for laying the power and
control cables up to the switchgear must
already be completed
The ceiling must be high enough for assembly
of pressure relief duct and exhaust duct
Compliance with the conditions for indoor
switchgear according to normal service
conditions as per IEC 62271-1 including the
conditions for the “minus 5 indoor” temperature
class must be ensured.
