Replacement of Parts 38 kV
Draw bars
Ensure the VersaRupter is open and the A-mechanism is not
charged (if equipped).
1. Remove the bolt found in figure 125.
2. Push the top of the arcing blade such that the draw
bar bolt in figure 126 will be exposed and can be
pushed out, freeing the upper end of the draw bar.
3. Remove the lower end of the drawbar by removing the
cir-clip securing the draw bar to the jack shaft in fig-
ure 127.
4. Reinstall the new draw bar by attaching the upper part
of the draw bar first, then the lower.
