2.5 Connection / Connecting diagram
The ABB-Welcome IP devices are suitable for surface mounting and flush-mounted installation.
All devices are available separately and can therefore be integrated into existing systems
without any problem.
This section informs about prerequisites and procedures for the installation and mounting of
selected system components.
2.6 Prerequisites
The prerequisites for the installation of the ABB-Welcome IP system are listed in the following:
Network
■
Own physical network or VLAN with Quality of Service (QoS).
■
Setup of the active network components in Ethernet technology.
■
Minimum demands on the network: 100Base Tx.
■
Consistent multicast network.
Wiring
■
Structured wiring according to DIN 50173-1/2/2/3/3/4/4.
■
Wiring at least Cat. 5/5e.
Services in the network

All ABB-Welcome IP devices have static IP address in IPv4 address block 10.0.0.0/8.
The Smart Access Point Lite / Smart Access Point Pro has at least one static IP address from
the IPv4 address block 10.0.0.0/8 and can additionally receive a IPv4 address allocated
dynamically from outside.
