Electrode Placements for TENS (cont)
Key
Hip Pain
Place electrodes so that the painful area is
between them.
Neck Pain
Place electrodes on the back of the neck no
higher up than the nape of the neck.
Knee Pain
Place electrodes either side of the knee. For
best results avoid placing the electrodes on
the knee cap. Use four electrodes for better
coverage if required.
Shoulder Pain
Apply electrodes to the front and back of the
painful shoulder.
Warning. Never place TENS
electrodes on the side or front of the
neck.
TENS Mode
Red (positive) lead
Black (negative) lead
