  To resolve the issue of your ACU-RITE Weather Station display not connecting to Wi-Fi: * Ensure that your internet router and the display are within range of each other. Try moving the display closer to the router. * Verify that the network name (SSID) and password you have entered are correct, noting that both are case-sensitive. * Reset the display by pressing and holding the RESET button for 10 seconds; this button is located in the battery compartment. Remember that you will need to enter the date and time after performing a reset. * Confirm that DHCP is enabled on your router, as most routers have this enabled by default. * Make sure your router is broadcasting a 2.4 GHz network, as the weather station display only supports 2.4 GHz wireless networks.

  If your ACU-RITE Weather Station is providing inaccurate wind readings, consider the following: * Compare the readings to those from a sensor positioned at the same mounting height. Pro weather stations are often mounted at 30 ft or higher. * Check the sensor's location to ensure it is mounted at least 5 ft in the air, free from obstructions within several feet. * Verify that the wind cups are spinning freely. If they are not, try lubricating them with graphite powder or spray lubricant.

  If the outdoor temperature on your ACU-RITE Weather Station is flashing or showing dashes, it may indicate wireless interference. Ensure that the A-B-C switch in the battery compartments of both the display and sensor are set to the same letter (A, B, or C) on both units. Sometimes, switching to a different channel can also resolve this issue.

Why is ACU-RITE 06086 Weather Station forecast inaccurate?

  If your ACU-RITE Weather Station forecast is inaccurate, remember that the Weather Forecast icon predicts conditions for the next 12 to 24 hours, not current conditions. Allow the unit to run continuously for 33 days. Removing the battery or resetting the display will restart the Learning Mode. After 14 days, the forecast should be fairly accurate; however, Learning Mode calibrates for a total of 33 days.
