  To ensure accurate wind readings with your ACU-RITE Weather Station, compare its readings to those from a sensor positioned at the same mounting height, as professional weather stations are typically mounted at 30 ft or higher. Also, check that the sensor is mounted at least 5 ft in the air without obstructions and that the wind cups spin freely. If they don't, lubricate them with graphite powder or spray lubricant.

  If your ACU-RITE Weather Station isn't receiving the outdoor sensor signal (no bars), try the following: * Relocate the display and/or the outdoor sensor, ensuring they are within 330 ft (100 m) of each other. * Keep both units at least 3 feet (.9 m) away from electronics that may cause interference. * Use standard alkaline batteries (or lithium batteries in the sensor when the temperature is below -4°F/-20°C). Avoid heavy-duty or rechargeable batteries. * Allow a few minutes for the display and sensor to synchronize after replacing the batteries.

  If the outdoor temperature on your ACU-RITE Weather Station is flashing or showing dashes, try these steps: 1. Bring both the sensor and display indoors and remove the batteries from each. 2. Ensure the A-B-C switches on both units match. 3. Reinstall the batteries in the outdoor sensor. 4. Reinstall the batteries in the display. 5. Let the units sit within a couple of feet of each other for a few minutes to establish a strong connection.

Why is my ACU-RITE Weather Station not registering rainfall?

  If your ACU-RITE Weather Station is showing no rainfall, check that the rain gauge stabilizer (plastic tab) has been removed from the bottom of the sensor. Clear any debris, such as leaves, from the rain collector funnel and debris screen. You can also calibrate the rain gauge, referring to the separate AcuRite Iris® sensor manual. Verify the sensor’s internal tipping lever is moving freely by dripping a little water through the rain collector; you should hear the lever tipping. If not, you may need to clean inside the sensor.

  To troubleshoot an inaccurate forecast on your ACU-RITE Weather Station, remember that the weather forecast icon predicts conditions for the next 12 to 24 hours, not current conditions. Ensure the Learning Mode icon has disappeared from the display, as Learning Mode must complete for an accurate forecast and pressure reading. Allow the unit to run continuously for 33 days, as battery removal or resetting the display will restart Learning Mode. After 14 days, the forecast should be fairly accurate, but Learning Mode calibrates for a total of 33 days.
