Questions and Answers

What to do if AcuRite 02038W has no outdoor sensor reception?
    • E
      Elizabeth HurstAug 2, 2025
If your AcuRite Weather Station shows no bars for the outdoor sensor, try these steps: First, relocate the display unit or the outdoor sensor, ensuring they are within 330 feet (100 m) of each other. Then, ensure both units are at least 3 feet (0.9 m) away from electronics like TVs, microwaves, and computers that might interfere with wireless communication. Use standard alkaline batteries (or lithium batteries in the sensor when the temperature is below -4ºF/-20ºC), and avoid heavy-duty or rechargeable batteries. Note that it can take up to 20 minutes for the display unit and sensor to synchronize after replacing the batteries.

What to do if AcuRite 02038W display screen not working?
    • T
      Taylor NobleAug 7, 2025
If the display screen of your AcuRite Weather Station is not working, first check that the batteries are installed correctly and replace them if needed. If that doesn't work, reset the display by pressing the reset button located on the back of the unit. Note that you will need to enter the date and time after a reset.

    Jill SmithAug 13, 2025
Why is the AcuRite 02038W Weather Station forecast inaccurate?
    • R
      Robert LeeAug 13, 2025
The forecast icon predicts conditions for the next 12 to 24 hours, not current conditions. Ensure the Learning Mode icon has disappeared from the display unit, as Learning Mode must complete before the forecast and pressure will be accurate. Allow the unit to run continuously for 33 days, as battery removal or resetting the display unit will restart Learning Mode. After 14 days, the forecast should be fairly accurate; however, Learning Mode calibrates for a total of 33 days.

Why is the AcuRite 02038W temperature or humidity inaccurate?
    • J
      Jeffrey BeckAug 20, 2025
To ensure accurate temperature and humidity readings on your AcuRite Weather Station, make sure both the display unit and sensor are placed out of direct sunlight and away from any heat sources or vents. Also, position both units away from moisture sources.

What to do if the outdoor temperature is flashing or showing dashes on AcuRite 02038W?
    • M
      Morgan WilliamsAug 26, 2025
If the outdoor temperature on your AcuRite Weather Station is flashing or showing dashes, wireless interference may be the cause. Try bringing both the sensor and display unit indoors and remove at least one battery from each. Reinstall the battery in the outdoor sensor, then reinstall the battery in the display unit. Let the units sit within a couple of feet of each other for about 20 minutes to establish a strong connection.
