Generating the rain cylinder bar
The rain cylinder consists of 10 segments that change
with the total amount of precipitation. The figures
next to the cylinder bar change with increasing
precipitation.
Precipitation up to 25.4 mm (1 inch):
Each segment stands for precipitation of 2.54 mm
(0.1 inches).
The rain cylinder shows 25.4 mm (1 inch).
Precipitation above 25.4 mm:
Each segment stands for precipitation of 5.08mm
(0.2 inches).
The rain cylinder shows 50.8 mm (2 inches).
The rain cylinder shows rainfall up to 1270 mm
(50 inches). If the rainfall exceeds 1270 mm, the bar
will be displayed as completely filled.
