What to do if my aermotor SPCA Water Pump motor will not run?
    • D
      Diana HowellAug 5, 2025
If the Aermotor Water Pump motor won't run, first ensure the disconnect switch is on. If that's not the issue, check the fuse and replace it if it's blown. Also, the starting switch might be defective and need replacement. Finally, inspect the wires at the motor; refer to the wiring instructions to check if they are loose, disconnected, or incorrectly wired, and tighten them if needed.

Why does my aermotor SPCA motor run hot and overload kicks off?
    • S
      Shaun PetersAug 21, 2025
If the Aermotor Water Pump motor runs hot and the overload kicks off, it could be due to incorrect wiring. Refer to the wiring instructions to ensure it's properly connected. Also, low voltage can cause this issue, so check with your power company. If the wire size is too small, install heavier wiring.

How to improve water delivery capacity of my aermotor SPCA Water Pump?
    • C
      Christopher PayneAug 28, 2025
If the Aermotor Water Pump does not deliver water to full capacity, it might be because the water level in the well is lower than estimated; a deep well jet pump may be needed if the water level is over 20 ft. Also, steel piping, if used, could be corroded or limed, causing excess friction; replace it with plastic pipe where possible, or with new steel pipe. Finally, the suction piping might be too small; use larger suction piping.

What to do if my aermotor SPCA Water Pump motor runs but no water is delivered?
    • J
      joshuawestNov 11, 2025
If the Aermotor Water Pump motor runs but no water is delivered, consider the following: 1. If it's a new installation, re-prime the pump according to the instructions. 2. Check all connections on the suction line for air leaks. 3. Replace the foot valve if it's leaking. 4. If the pump has lost prime, check all connections on the suction line and shaft seal. 5. Ensure the water level is not below the suction of the pump; lower the suction line into the water and re-prime. Note that if the water level in the well exceeds the suction lift, a deep well pump is needed. 6. Clean the impeller if it's plugged; refer to the maintenance section. 7. Replace the check valve or foot valve if it's stuck in the closed position. 8. Thaw the pipes if they're frozen, bury them below the frost line...
