This procedure is for when the backplane board is still part of the logic assembly

replacement is required prior to beginning.

1. Unlock and open the main door to provide access to the logic cage.
2. Power down the EGM.
3. Remove the coin hopper.
4. Break and remove the security tag seal then unlock the logic cage, and open the door.
5. Remove the main board assembly.
6. Disconnect all harnesses from the backplane board.

7. Remove the M5 nut at the top rear of the logic cage / backplane board that fastens the logic
cage to the rear panel of the EGM.
8. Whilst supporting the weight of the cage; undo the thumb screw located on the roof on the
inside of the logic cage.
9. Now slide the logic cage forward disengaging the locating lugs from the machine shelf
assembly.
10. Slowly lower the logic cage down and ease out of the cabinet.

11. Ease the logic cage / backplane board combination into the cabinet and lift it up and slide
the locating lugs back into the 4 x cut-outs used to locate it into the machine shelf
assembly.
12. Once in place fasten the thumb screw and then the M5 nut to the stud removed earlier.
13. Once in correct position fasten the M5 nut securely.
14. Reconnect all the harnesses to the backplane board according to the labels.
15. The wiring diagram could also be of assistance.
16. Re-install the main board.
17. Lock and re-seal the logic cage.
18. Re-install hopper.
19. Ensure that with electrical power applied to the machine that the machine initiates and
displays the game display.
20. Close and lock the main door.
