Why is my AKDY GVA-IS2 Ventilation Hood fan not working?
    • R
      Richard DouglasAug 8, 2025
There are a couple of reasons why the fan in your AKDY Ventilation Hood might not be working. It could be due to a malfunctioning electronic control caused by over voltage, in which case you should replace the control and user interface. Alternatively, the motor connector may have become loose during cleaning, causing a false contact in the main harness. To fix this, remove power supply from the hood, open the control box, and check that the connector from the motor is securely connected to the connector on the plastic, ensuring the locking system is engaged. If not, press the main connectors attached to the white plastic and push the motor/lamp connectors inward until the locking system is properly attached. Then, reconnect the hood to the power supply and test it.

If the lamp on your AKDY Ventilation Hood isn't turning on, it could be due to several reasons. First, the electronic control might not be working due to over voltage; in this case, replace the control and user interface. Second, the lamp itself might be non-functional. Remove the lamp and check if the filament is burned or not correctly placed; replace the lamp if necessary. Finally, the motor connector may have become loose during cleaning, causing a false contact in the main harness. To resolve this, remove power supply from the hood, open the control box, and ensure the connector from the motor is securely connected to the connector on the plastic, making sure the locking system is well locked. If the connectors are not well connected: - Hold and press main connectors attached in the ...

How to fix noisy blower on AKDY Ventilation Hood?

      Monica BanksNov 26, 2025
A noisy blower in your AKDY Ventilation Hood can be caused by dirty filters or a false contact in the connectors. First, check if the grease and/or charcoal filters are clean. If they are dirty, replace the charcoal filter or wash the grease filter. If the filters aren't the issue, the problem might be a loose connection. To check this, remove power supply from the hood, open the control box, and verify that the connector coming from the motor is securely connected to the connector mounted in the plastic, ensuring the locking system is well locked. If the connectors are not well connected: - Hold and press main connectors attached in the white plastic. - Push inwards the motor/lamp connectors until the locking system on connectors is well attached. Reconnect the hood to the power supply...
