HOLDOVERRIDEBUTTON:TheHOLDOVERRIDEbuttonisa
nger-controlledbuttonintegratedintothetopandfrontsideofthe
bump-shiftleverselectorknob.Thisbuttonusesadetentfeaturewith
lockedpositionstopreventaccidentalrangeselection.PresstheHOLD
OVERRIDEbuttontoreleasethedetentandmovethebump-shiftlever
fromanyoftheselockedpositions.
DISPLAYMODE/DIAGNOSTIC(DMD):TheDMDbutton,when
pressed,allowsaccesstouidlevelinformation,prognostics
information,andDTCinformation,dependingonhowmanytimesit
waspressed.
7.8KEYPADPUSHBUTTONSHIFTSELECTOR
TheAllisonkeypadpushbuttonshiftselectorhassixbuttonsonthekeypad
thatcausethefollowingtransmissionoperationstooccur:
R:Presstoselectreverse
N:Presstoselectneutral
D:Presstoselectdrive
UpshiftandDownshiftArrowButtons
ThesebuttonsareusedtochangetheRangeSelectedtoahigheror
lowerforwardrange:
OnepressoftheDOWNSHIFTbuttonsetsrangeSELECTtothe
samerangeasthecurrentrangeattained,shownintheMONITOR
positiononthedisplay.ReferredtoasExpressPreselect.
EachsubsequentpressoftheDOWNSHIFTbuttondecreasesthe
rangeselectedbyonerange.
OnepressoftheUPSHIFTbuttonincreasestherangeselected
byonerange.
IftheUPSHIFTorDOWNSHIFTbuttonisheldcontinuously,the
selectedrangewillcontinuetochangeupordownuntilthebutton
isreleasedoruntilthehighestorlowestpossiblerangeofgears
isselected.
MODE:Multi-functionaluse(referto7.3MODEBUTTON).
