TROUBLESHOOTING
SYMPTOM POSSIBLE PROBLEMS
Power up failure
Check fuses.
Check power connections at unit and at
battery or fuse block. Check for
corrosion at the battery connections
Check battery voltage.
Turn unit off, wait 15 seconds and turn
on again. Repeat if necessary.
Inaccurate moisture readings
Check sensor cable connections at the
Seed Spector LRX and at the sensor.
Check the sensor blade for build up of
residue or damage. Clean blade &
holder
Make sure the sensor is completely
covered by grain.
Check sensor connector for moisture.
Printer fails to print
Check that printer is turned on.
Examine printer for paper jam, loose
ribbon, etc.
Check baud rate setting
Check cable connections at printer and
at Seed Spector LRX.
Check for low voltage to the printer.
Check communication parameters.
LRX locks up during bucket cycle
Check for jammed bucket mechanisms.
Check all limit switch adjustments on
bucket.
Check bucket actuators, all must have
diodes installed.
LRX relays do not operate
Check for low battery voltage.
Check all fuses, LRX has internal fuses
for each relay.
Bucket does not hold open (door
opens and closes repeatedly until
cycle is done and then closes)
Limit switch is misaligned or defective.
