SERVICING YOUR GENERATOR
ENGINE OIL LEVEL CHECK
DIPSTICK
OIL FILLER CAP
UPPER LIMIT
OIL MAINTENANCE COVER
Check the engine oil level with the generator on a level surface and the
engine stopped.
Remove the oil filler cap/dipstick and wipe it clean.
Open the oil maintenance cover.
Close and latch the oil maintenance cover.
Insert and remove the dipstick without screwing it into the filler neck.
Check the oil level shown on the dipstick.
If the oil level is low, fill to the top of the oil filler neck with the
recommended oil (see page ).
Screw in the oil filler cap/dipstick securely.
The Oil Alert
system will automatically stop the engine before the oil
level falls below safe limits. However, to avoid the inconvenience of an
unexpected shutdown, check the oil level regularly.
