TAKING CARE OF UNEXPECTED PROBLEMS
GENERATOR PROBLEMS
Possible Cause CorrectionNo Power at the
DC Output Coupler
Check DC load.
Stop and restart
the engine.
Check the cooling
air inlet. Stop and
restart the engine.
Turn off the engine
switch and set the
voltage selector
switch to the same
battery string
voltage of the UPS
(p. 14).
Make sure
generator positive
output side of
coupler is
connected to
positive terminal
of UPS battery
string.
Replace or repair
faulty components
as necessary.
Output indicator is
OFF, and overload
indicator is ON.
Setting different
voltage connected
to the UPS.
Power cord
connected to UPS
battery string in
reverse polarity.
Faulty generator.
Check output
and overload
indicator.
Check UPS
battery string
voltage
requirement.
Check the power
cord.
Take generator
to an authorized
Alphagen
servicing dealer,
or refer to shop
manual.
