The fountain is constructed from durable metal and features a beautiful bronze finish, making it a robust and visually appealing addition to any indoor or outdoor space.

Usage Features:

The fountain is designed for straightforward assembly and operation.

  1. Placement: The fountain base should be placed on a smooth and level surface, ensuring enough space to access the pump during installation and for maintenance.
  2. Pump Control: The included pump has an adjustable flow control. Users can turn the adjuster to the right/clockwise to decrease water flow or to the left/counter-clockwise to increase water flow. It is recommended to set the pump to the lowest setting initially to prevent splashing during assembly.
  3. Assembly Steps:
    • The fountain top connects to the pump via vinyl tubing.
    • The fountain top then sits securely on the fountain basin, with the pump positioned at the bottom of the basin and its power cable fitting into a notch at the base of the fountain top.
    • The six fountain cups are hung on hooks below the water spout at the top of the fountain.
    • Splash guards are inserted into each cup to minimize splashing.
  4. Water Filling: Water should be gently poured into the fountain basin, ensuring the pump is completely submerged. It is crucial to avoid overfilling to prevent splashing.
  5. Water Type Recommendation: The manual recommends using distilled water to prevent scale build-up, which can affect the fountain's performance and appearance over time.
  6. Initial Operation: When first operated, it may take up to 5 minutes for air to be completely expelled from the system before water begins to flow consistently.
  7. Power Connection: The pump cord should be plugged into a local power supply, ensuring no water is around the plug and that the power source remains in a dry place.
  8. Water Level Maintenance: Regular addition of water is necessary as water will evaporate over time.

Maintenance Features:

Proper maintenance is essential for the longevity and optimal performance of the fountain.

  • Cleaning:
    • Always unplug the pump from the electrical outlet before cleaning or handling any components.
    • Use clean water only for cleaning. Avoid placing the fountain or its parts in any other liquid.
    • Periodically change the water and clean the pump to keep it free of microorganisms.
    • If the pump fails to run, check for kinks or obstructions in the discharge and tubing, and flush with a garden hose.
    • Inspect the rotor by removing the front cover and plate to access the impeller area, ensuring it is not jammed or broken.
    • If the pump is abnormally loud, disconnect it, remove the front cover and plate, carefully remove the impeller/rotor assembly, rinse it, and clean the cavity with clean water. If damage is found, contact a retailer for parts.
  • Winterization/Storage: During freezing weather or if the fountain will not be used for an extended period, it should be disconnected and stored in a dry place. Improper storage that allows water to freeze within the product can cause damage and is not covered under warranty.
  • Pump Care: Never let the pump run dry, as this can cause damage.
  • Water Quality: The use of "hard water" and/or caustic cleaners can affect the painted or other finishes and may void the warranty. Failure to keep the unit clean and use of such additives/cleaners will also void the warranty.
  • Paint and Color: The natural erosion of color due to water exposure is normal and can be touched up with standard paint. While the paint is designed to protect against color breakdown, gradual fading and discoloration over time are expected. Severe or complete fading within the first year is covered under warranty, with the exclusion of normal erosion.
  • Splash Guards: The inclusion of splash guards helps manage water splashing, although some splashing is considered normal during operation.

Troubleshooting:

The manual provides a troubleshooting guide for common issues:

  • Pump fails to run: Check power supply, circuit breaker, pump discharge/tubing for kinks/obstructions, and rotor for jams/breakage.
  • Pump "spews": Check water level to ensure the pump is fully submerged.
  • Pump is abnormally loud: Disconnect pump, clean impeller/rotor assembly and cavity.

The product comes with a one-year limited warranty from the date of purchase. A valid proof of purchase with the date clearly indicated is required for any warranty claim, along with photographs of defective merchandise.
