Make sure there is all following elements on your installation:
1. Isolating valve before installation. Mandatory.
2. Standard isolator. Mandatory.
3. Sediment filter. Strongly advised
(filtering delivered with the softener).
4. Hoses
5. Electric transformer. Mandatory.
6. Brine evacuation pipe. Mandatory.
7. Overflow evacuation pipe. Mandatory.
8. Siphon with isolator. Mandatory : salt storage tank overflow and
head drain must be connected to the sewer with an isolated
siphon preventing sewer to reject waste water In the system.
Put some water in the bottom of the tank:
- 4 liters for an 8L softener,
- 15 liters for other models.
Add the salt EN 973
necessary to recharge : 3 kg.
NB : complete the filling after step 9
with maximum 15 kg of salt
for the 8 l model
and 50 kg of salt for other models.
Ensure that the mounting
clamps are correctly installed
and check outlet/inlet.
Put the Bypass on.

Wit a flat screwdriver, residual water hardness can be set. It must be in a range from 8°f to 12°f.
Unscrew a first time the screw on top of its place, then adjust to obtain the desired value.
NB: unscrew to rise and screw to reduce the hardness.
Measure again (step 2) to check your setting. Let the water flow for 1 to 2 minutes after each adjustment.
Your Altech softener is properly installed. Check it during the next 48 hours.
