Why is my Amana Electronic Range Ranges food not broiling properly or smoking excessively?
    • S
      Sergio CoxAug 16, 2025
If your Amana Range is not broiling properly or smokes excessively, check the oven rack positions and ensure the broil element was preheated. Make sure aluminum foil was correctly used and the oven door was not closed during broiling. Trim excess fat from meat before broiling and avoid using a soiled broiler pan. Low voltage in your house may also be a contributing factor.

If there is a strong odor or light smoke when your Amana Range is turned on, this is normal for a new range and will disappear after a few uses. Initiating a clean cycle will help burn off the odors more quickly. Turning on a ventilation fan will help remove the smoke and/or odor. Also ensure there are no excessive food soils on the oven bottom.
