News
You can simply say, “Alexa, what’s today’s news?” or
you can set your device up to give you news from
specific sources by creating Flash Briefings. To set up
a Flash Briefing:
1. Open the Alexa app on your smartphone
2. Tap the “More” icon in the bottom right corner
3. Tap “Settings”
4. Scroll down to tap “Flash Briefing”
5. Tap + to “Add Content”
6. Search for a Flash Briefing by tapping the
magnifying glass in the upper right corner
7. Tap “Enable To Use”.
You can add as many different Flash Briefings as
you like. Open them by saying, “Alexa, play my Flash
Briefing from [name of news service, e.g. BBC].
Weather
Simply say, “Alexa, what’s the weather like today?” to
hear the weather in your location. You can also ask
to hear what the weather is like in other places, or
ask if it will rain or if the sun will shine.
