The Kindle Home screen has four tabs, and your most recently opened book, or notebook:
Home
The Kindle Home tab has two sections:
You r re c ent i te ms
: The top of the Home screen shows your recently accessed Library items. Scroll
horizontally (Left-Right) to see your last 21 accessed items. The percentage on the cover of the book indicates
how far you have read. Tap the From your Library link on the Home screen to view more of your library. For

Discover cards
:
These horizontally scrolling sections contain recommendation cards. They display
recommended content from the Kindle and Audible stores, Kindle e-reader tips, fun facts, and more.!Browse
books by genre/category, swipe, scroll, or tap to see more personalized recommendations. Tapping on an item
will take you to its Store page, where you can view additional details, read customer reviews, and complete
purchases.!
Library
Your Ki n d l e c a n store books, audiobooks, pe r s o n a l d o c u m ents, newspapers, b l o g s , a n d magazines, which a r e r e ferred
to collectively as "content" throughout this guide. By default, all of your content in the Cloud and on your device
displays in the Library tab. Items that have been downloaded to your Kindle display a check mark in the lower left
corner of the cover image when in Grid view and on the right side of the screen when in List view. To view just the
content downloaded to your Kindle, tap the filter menu in the top left and select Downloaded.
You can v i e w content on your library s c r e e n using the def a u l t Grid vi e w, wh i c h displays the p e r i o d i c a l or book co v e r,
by List view, which displays book information, or by Collections view, which displays your created collections. To
change this preference, tap!
!in the top right, then select Grid, List, or Collections view.
Notebooks
Your n o t e b o o k s a n d folder s ar e av a i l a b l e i n the N o t e b o o k s t a b . E a c h n o t e b o o k i s rep r e s e n t e d b y a n o t e b o o k c o v e r a n d
notebook name, with the number of the most recent page you have written in and the total number of pages in the
notebook under the notebook name. Similarly, folders are represented by a folder icon, along with its name and
number of items in the folder. Your notebook and folder structure are synced in the Cloud unless you are disconnected
from the Internet or have turned off Whispersync.!
Managing your notebooks and folders
To access more options for your notebooks and folders, tap the overow menu (the three dot icon) on the item's cover
when in Grid view or on the right side of the screen when in List view. These options include renaming, moving or
deleting. Some of these options will not be available depending on whether you're connected online or if you have
Whispersync disabled.
