What to do if the wireless remote is not reporting to the Ambient Weather Station console?
    • D
      derrickgonzalezAug 13, 2025
If your Ambient Weather Station's remote thermo-hygrometer isn't reporting to the console (indicated by dashes on the display), try these steps: Ensure the sensor is within the 300’ line of sight range. If too close (less than 10’), move it further away. Cycle power on the console. Replace the remote thermo-hygrometer batteries with a fresh set; use lithium batteries in cold environments. Confirm the sensor isn't transmitting through metal or earth barriers. Also, move the console away from electrical devices and try relocating the remote sensor to a higher or closer position. Remember that RF sensors can't transmit through metal or thick walls.

How to fix Ambient Weather Station temperature sensor reading too high?
    • E
      Elizabeth SmithAug 16, 2025
To prevent inaccurate high-temperature readings during the day with your Ambient Weather Station, ensure the thermo-hygrometer is mounted in a shaded area on a north-facing wall. If this isn't possible, consider using a radiation shield.

Why does the relative pressure on my Ambient Weather Station not agree with official reports?
    • A
      Amy Navarro DVMAug 20, 2025
If the relative pressure on your Ambient Weather Station doesn't match an official reporting station, ensure you've selected relative pressure and not absolute pressure. Calibrate the sensor against an official local weather station. Note that the barometer's accuracy is ± 0.08 inHg within an absolute pressure range of 27.13 to 32.50 inHg, corresponding to an altitude of -2,200 to 2,700 feet. Expect potential errors at higher altitudes.

Why don't the indoor and outdoor temperatures agree on my Ambient Weather Station?
    • H
      Harry RamirezAug 25, 2025
If the indoor and outdoor temperatures on your Ambient Weather Station don't match, allow up to one hour for the sensors to stabilize due to signal filtering. The indoor and outdoor temperature sensors should agree within 4 °F (the sensor accuracy is ± 2 °F).

Why is there a difference between indoor and outdoor humidity on my Ambient Weather Station?
    • K
      Kevin FrostAug 28, 2025
If the indoor and outdoor humidity readings on your Ambient Weather Station are inconsistent, allow up to one hour for the sensors to stabilize due to signal filtering. The indoor and outdoor humidity sensors should agree within 10 % (the sensor accuracy is ± 5 %).

Why is the Ambient Weather Station forecast icon not accurate?
    • J
      jacqueline99Aug 31, 2025
The weather forecast on your Ambient Weather Station is an estimation of weather changes in the next 24 to 48 hours and varies by location. The console needs to run for several days to trend barometric pressure. It should be considered a tool for projecting weather conditions, not a completely accurate prediction method.

Why don't the console outdoor humidity and remote humidity agree on my Ambient Weather Station?
    • B
      Brian BrewerSep 4, 2025
The console displays the calibrated humidity, while the remote displays the measured humidity only. Refer to section 4.2.2 to set and reset the humidity calibration on your Ambient Weather Station.

How to fix weak display contrast on Ambient Weather Station console?
    • G
      Gloria WilsonSep 8, 2025
If the display console contrast on your Ambient Weather Station is weak, replace the console batteries with a fresh set.
