What to do if my Ambient Weather Station rain gauge reports rain when it is not raining?
    • K
      Krystal HessAug 5, 2025
If your Ambient Weather Station's rain gauge reports rain when it's not actually raining, it might be due to an unstable mounting. Ensure you have a stable and level mounting solution, as sway in the mounting pole can cause the tipping bucket to incorrectly register rainfall.

How to fix Ambient Weather Station when outdoor sensor array does not communicate to the display console?
    • T
      troweAug 12, 2025
If the outdoor sensor array of your Ambient Weather Station isn't communicating with the display console, the sensor array data may be registered by the console as invalid, requiring a console reset. To resolve this, press the reset button (using an open-ended paperclip for 3 seconds), remove the batteries and wait one minute while covering the solar panel to drain the voltage. Then, put the batteries back in and resync the console with the sensor array about 10 feet away. The LED next to the battery compartment should flash every 16 seconds.

What to do if I replace the batteries and the Ambient Weather Station still doesn't work?
    • C
      Cindy DavisAug 20, 2025
If you've replaced the batteries in your Ambient Weather Station's outside sensor array and are still experiencing issues, try powering down and then up the console. Remove the AC power and batteries, wait 10 seconds, and then reinsert both.

Why doesn't the wind vane on my Ambient Weather Station spin as freely as the wind cups?
    • N
      Nicholas IbarraAug 27, 2025
The wind vane on your Ambient Weather Station is designed not to spin as freely as the wind cups. This dampening prevents the wind vane from spinning with the slightest breeze, which would result in variable wind readings. This added resistance allows the wind vane to change direction with 2 – 3 mph winds, providing much better wind direction tracking.
