What to do if Ambient Weather Measuring Instruments wireless remote is not reporting to console?
    • S
      Stephanie BarnesJul 30, 2025
If the sensor communication is lost, dashes will be displayed on the screen. To reacquire the signal, follow the instructions in Section 4.4.3. Make sure each sensor is on a different channel by checking the sensor’s LCD display. The maximum communication range is 300’ line of sight, but typically 100’ under most conditions. Try these steps: - Move the sensor closer to the display console, but not less than 5 feet away. - Ensure the remote sensor LCD display is working. - Install fresh batteries, using lithium batteries in cold environments. - Avoid transmitting through solid metal or earth barriers. - Move the display console away from electrical noise generating devices like computers or TVs. - Move the remote sensor to a higher or closer location.

Why does Ambient Weather WS-3000-X8 Measuring Instruments temperature sensor read too high during the day?
    • R
      Riley GallegosAug 5, 2025
Ensure the thermo-hygrometer is mounted in a shaded area on the north-facing wall. If this isn't possible, consider using a radiation shield.

What to do if Ambient Weather WS-3000-X8 Measuring Instruments temperature sensors do not agree?
    • K
      Karen WilkinsonAug 13, 2025
Allow up to one hour for the sensors to stabilize due to signal filtering. The sensors should agree within 4 °F (the sensor accuracy is ± 2 °F) under worst case conditions. You can also use the calibration feature to match the indoor and outdoor temperature to a known source.

      Malik SchaeferAug 20, 2025
Allow up to one hour for the sensors to stabilize due to signal filtering. The indoor and outdoor humidity sensors should agree within 10 % (the sensor accuracy is ± 5 %) under worst case conditions.
