Why do indoor and outdoor temperatures not agree on my Ambient Weather WS-23 Measuring Instruments?
    • M
      Melissa HallAug 3, 2025
Allow up to one hour for the sensors to stabilize due to signal filtering. The indoor and outdoor temperature sensors should agree within 2 °F (the sensor accuracy is ± 1 °F). You can also use the calibration feature to match the indoor and outdoor temperature to a known source.

What to do if indoor and outdoor humidity readings don't match on Ambient Weather WS-23?
    • S
      Sarah StevensAug 10, 2025
Give the sensors about an hour to stabilize because of signal filtering. The indoor and outdoor humidity sensors should agree within 10% (the sensor accuracy is ± 5%). If needed, use the calibration feature to match the indoor and outdoor humidity to a known source.

How to prevent Ambient Weather WS-23 temperature sensor from reading too high?
    • A
      Ashley RichardsonAug 16, 2025
To prevent inaccurate high temperature readings during the day, ensure the thermo-hygrometer is mounted in a shaded area on a north-facing wall. If this isn't possible, consider using a radiation shield.

Why is the display console contrast weak on my Ambient Weather WS-23?
    • H
      Harold WilsonAug 22, 2025
A weak display console contrast can be resolved by replacing the console batteries with a fresh set.

What to do if Ambient Weather WS-23 Measuring Instruments show dashes on the display?
    • B
      Brandy OrtizOct 28, 2025
If sensor communication is lost and dashes appear on the screen, try the following: 1. Press and hold the CHANNEL/+ button for 3 seconds to reacquire the signal. The remote search icon will be constantly displayed. Once the signal is reacquired, the remote search icon will turn off, and the current values will be displayed. 2. Ensure the sensor is within the communication range (300’ line of sight, 100’ under most conditions). Adjust the distance between the sensor and the console; avoid distances less than 5 feet. 3. Verify the remote sensor's LCD is working and the transmitter light flashes every 60 seconds. 4. Install fresh batteries in the remote thermo-hygrometer, using lithium batteries in cold environments. 5. Avoid obstructions like solid metal or earth barriers. 6. Move the...
