About the MegaPower 48
Matrix Switcher/Controller
System
The MegaPower 48 (MP48) Matrix Switcher/
Controller System is an integrated matrix
switching and control system for CCTV
surveillance systems. It provides multiple video
inputs, outputs, and control stations.
The MP48 system can also respond to alarms
and perform auxiliary switching for the control of
gates, doors, lights, and other output devices.
Depending on the control requirements of a
given application, various AD keyboards and
accessory devices can be used with the system.
The MP48 provides the following features:
• Matrix size of 48 video inputs by 16 video
outputs
> Eight video outputs with text overlay
> Eight public view video outputs
• Modular wall mount with rack mount option
• Embedded menus for system setup
programming
• Flash memory module on system for data
backup
• Video recorder control using AD2088
keyboard
• Macro programming and control using
AD2088 keyboard
• Fixed and variable speed pan/tilt and dome
control using SensorNet, RS-422, or AD
Manchester protocols
• Alarm responses include camera, presets,
patterns, salvos, text paging, recorder and
auxiliary control
• Text paging on alarm with up to 250 different
messages
• System partitioning for inputs, outputs, and
keyboards
• System priority levels and user password
• Monitor tours
• On-screen text includes displaying video
input number, monitor status, time/date
information, and titles for
cameras/presets/alarms
• 64 universal tours
• 64 system salvos
• 35 event timers
• Alarm tables for system, dome,
communications (RS-232), and video loss
alarms
• Automatic call up of alarm inputs
• 4096 preset titles
• On-board system diagnostics
External communications to system devices can
be achieved through a variety of protocols,
including Manchester Control Code, RS-232,
RS-422, and SensorNet.
About the ADTTE Keyboard
Controller
The ADTTE keyboard is a video control station
that is compatible with the MP48 matrix switcher/
controller systems. The keyboard provides the
following operating modes: Keyboard Lock
(Operate), Program, and Menu modes. All
operators may use the Keyboard Lock mode.
Operators with password privileges may use
Program and Menu modes.
Keyboard Lock mode does not require
password privileges and provides the following
functions:
• Monitor and camera selection
• Camera and dome control
• Preset, pattern, salvo and system tour recall
• Auxiliary control
• Alarm acknowledgment
Program mode provides the following functions:
• Preset (target), pattern, and scratch-pad tour
programming
• Alarm monitor arming and disarming
Menu mode enables operators to set up the
parameters of the connected switching system.
Note: The ADTTE keyboard does not support
the following MP48 features:
• Macro programming and recall
• VCR control
Figure 3 illustrates the features of the ADTTE
keyboard.
