Why does my Anglecare Baby Monitor have false alarms?

  False alarms can occur for several reasons: * If the baby was removed from the crib and the nursery unit wasn't switched off, turn off the nursery unit. * Check that the sensor pad cord is properly connected to the nursery unit; unplug and reconnect it if necessary. * Ensure the sensor pad is in full contact with the crib mattress. Place a piece of 6 mm (1/4”) plywood to cover the full size of the crib base if needed. * If the baby is in a very deep sleep or has moved to the edge of the crib, make sure the sensor pad is positioned correctly. * The sensitivity may need adjustment; consult the section on testing your Angelcare® monitor.

Bring the parent unit closer to the nursery unit. * Check or replace the batteries in the parent unit, or recharge it. * Verify that the AC adapters are properly connected and the electrical outlet is working. Try another outlet if necessary. * Make sure both the parent and nursery units are turned on.

Why does my Anglecare Baby Monitor keep giving false alarms?

  Anglecare Baby Monitor false alarms can occur for several reasons. One common cause is that the baby was removed from the crib, and the nursery unit wasn't turned off. In this case, turn off the nursery unit. Also, check the sensor pad cord connection to the nursery unit; unplug and reconnect it to ensure it's properly connected. Make sure that there is no bedding between the mattress and the sensor. The sensor pad must rest on a completely flat and rigid mattress to maintain full contact with the crib mattress. If your baby is in a very deep sleep or has moved away from the sensor pad, make sure the sensor pad is positioned correctly. Finally, the sensitivity may need adjustment, so consult the section on testing your Angelcare monitor.

  Static, distortion, or interference can occur due to: * The selected channel not being free of interference. Select a different channel as shown on STEP 12 of the How to operate your Angelcare© monitor section. * The parent unit being located near motorized devices, fluorescent lights, or a television. Rotate the parent unit or move it away from the source of interference.

Why is reception very weak on my Anglecare AC401?

  Weak reception can be attributed to: * Units being too far apart. Turn the “out of range” indicator ON as shown in STEP 7 in the How to operate your Angelcare® Monitor section. * One or both units being placed near a large metal mass. Bring units closer together. * One or both units not being in the upright position. Change the position of one or both units. * Low batteries. Replace the batteries or recharge the parent unit. * The link between the parent and nursery unit being lost. Connect the parent unit to the nursery unit as shown on STEP 12 of the How to operate your Angelcare monitor section.

  The digital screen on the parent unit showing “--” and the nursery unit icon flashing indicates that the nursery unit is not turned on. Turn the nursery unit ON.

  If the nursery unit power ON indicator (second green light) does not light up, check the following: * Ensure the AC adapters are properly connected or the electrical outlet is working. Try another electrical outlet. * Make sure the nursery unit is turned on. Move the left wing up to the ON position.
