This document is the user manual for the Anko Air Fryer Oven, model AF1006.

Function Description

The Anko Air Fryer Oven AF1006 is designed to provide an easy and healthier way of cooking various foods. It utilizes rapid air circulation from all directions, combined with a top grill, to cook a variety of dishes without the need for added oil or with only a mist of oil. This appliance is suitable for household use and is not intended for commercial or industrial environments. It can be used for tasks such as air frying, roasting, baking, dehydrating, and defrosting.

The appliance features a control panel with a digital display that shows time, temperature, fan, and heater working status. It includes preset functions for common food types like chips, chops, prawns, baking, drumsticks, steaks, fish, chicken, dehydrator, and defrost, each with default time and temperature settings. These presets can be overridden manually. The temperature control allows adjustments from 65°C to 200°C for normal cooking, 30°C to 80°C for dehydrator function, and 40°C to 70°C for defrost function. Time can be adjusted by 30-minute increments for dehydrating (2 to 24 hours) and by 1-minute increments for other functions (1 to 60 minutes).

Usage Features

General Operation: The appliance operates by plugging it into an earthed power outlet. The power button illuminates in standby mode. A long touch of the power button illuminates the full control panel, allowing selection of a preset function or manual setting of time and temperature. Touching the power button again starts the cooking process. If no operation occurs within 1 minute, the control panel automatically switches off. A long touch of the power button during cooking will immediately shut down the appliance, though the fan will continue running for 20 seconds.

Internal Lamp: An internal lamp allows users to check cooking progress. Touching the light button illuminates the lamp for 30 seconds. When the door is opened in standby mode, the lamp illuminates for 3 minutes and automatically turns off when the door is closed.

Rotation Function: A rotation button is available for use with the rotisserie basket or fork set. This function can be used with any preset, and its icon blinks when active. Touching the blinking icon stops the rotation.

Accessories: The Air Fryer Oven comes with several accessories:

  • Heating Element Protection Cover: Prevents food from contacting the heating element. It slides along the top plastic shelf and is removed by pulling a wire handle.
  • Air Flow Racks (3pcs): Used for dehydration, crispy snacks, or reheating foods like pizza. They slide along the rack shelves.
  • Drip Tray: Placed at the bottom of the appliance to collect drips for easy cleanup.
  • Rotisserie Basket: Ideal for fries, roasting nuts, and other snacks. It opens and locks with a hasp and is installed by placing its cuboid end into a hole on the left side and the other side onto the rotating shelf on the right.
  • Rotisserie Fork Set: Used for roasting large meat or whole chicken. Forks are installed on a shaft, forced lengthwise through the meat/chicken, adjusted to the center, and locked with screws. The cuboid end is inserted into a hole on the left side, and the other side onto the rotating shelf on the right.
  • Fetch Tool: Used to safely remove the hot rotisserie basket or fork set from the appliance by placing it under the shaft on both sides and gently extracting.

Safety during Use:

  • Always place the appliance on a dry, level, stable, and heat-resistant surface, away from edges, overhead cabinets, or flammable materials.
  • Do not immerse the main unit, supply cord, or plug in water or any other liquid.
  • Do not fill the fryer with oil, frying fat, or any other liquid as it is an oil-free fryer working on hot air.
  • Surfaces and accessories become extremely hot during and immediately after cooking. Always use oven mitts or the fetch tool when handling hot accessories and food. Allow the appliance to cool completely before cleaning.
  • Do not cover the air inlet or outlet during operation.
  • Do not move the unit while in operation.
  • The door is detachable for cleaning and must be closed for the appliance to work. Opening the door pauses the cooking process, which resumes when the door is closed within 2 hours. After 2 hours, it returns to standby.

Maintenance Features

Cleaning:

  • Always clean the air fryer oven after each use.
  • Disconnect the power cord and ensure the appliance is thoroughly cooled before cleaning.
  • Clean the door, inside, and outside of the appliance with a warm, moist cloth or a non-abrasive sponge and mild detergent.
  • The door can be taken off for cleaning but should not be soaked, submerged in water, or washed in a dishwasher.
  • Accessories are dishwasher safe, but abrasive cleaning materials should never be used.
  • Ensure all components are clean and thoroughly dried before storing.

Storage:

  • Store the appliance in a clean and dry location.
