2.2.16 A21, A22 TDMA COM Unit
Insert the A21/A22 TDMA COM unit to the digital-board shielding case
from the top of the MT8820A.
For the signals that go through the A05 Mother board, see Section 2.1.3.

Function overview

Provides the TDMA call processing function.
・
Performs TDMA Layers-2 and 3 processing, Layer-1 frame CODEC
processing, coding processing, etc.

Hardware configuration
Configuration parts are described below.
CPU
SH7729 (133 MHz)
CPU performs the call-processing for Layer 2 and 3 by the request from
the A01 Main CPU board.
Common Memory
SDRAM (32 Mbytes)
Common Memory is used for the data exchange between Main CPU and
SH-3.
Main CPU can access SDRAM through PCI Bridge.
Serial Port
M1543 (manufactured by ALI corp.)
RS-232C interface is connected to the RS-232C connector on the rear
panel.
Ethernet
AM79C973 (manufactured by AMD corp.)
Ethernet interface is connected to the 10BASE-T connector on the rear
panel.
USB
M1543 (manufactured by ALI corp.)
USB interface is connected to the Serial connector on the rear panel.
Conforms to Open HCI.
