(2) Adjustment
1. Set the MT8820A, as follows:
Standard: GSM
Call Processing: Off
TCH Channel & Frequency: 800 MHz
Output Level:
−
10 dBm
Output Signal Pattern: TCH
2. Set maintenance mode On by GPIB control.
(Command: “MAINTE NOBT,ON”)
3. Set AUDIO-FM mode by GPIB control. (Command: “MAUFMOUT”)
4. Adjust the variable resistor VR2 to make the deviation of FM modula-
tion to 20 kHz
±
20 Hz.
Condition: Modulation Analyzer LPF 15 kHz
5. Set TDMA-FM mode by GPIB control. (Command: “MAUFMTDMA”)
6. Adjust the variable resistor VR1 to make the deviation of FM modula-
tion to 20 kHz
±
20 Hz.
Condition: Modulation Analyzer LPF 15 kHz
Note:
Before performing other adjustments or performance test after abo-
ve FM deviation adjustment, turn Off and then On the MT8820A
power switch to return the internal settings to the normal condition.
