The AOC 27B2AM LCD Monitor is designed for general computing use, offering a clear visual display for various applications. Its primary function is to serve as an external display for computers, enhancing the user's visual workspace. The monitor supports multiple input types, including HDMI and D-Sub (VGA), ensuring compatibility with a wide range of devices. It also features an audio input and an earphone output, allowing for integrated audio solutions.

Usage Features:

The monitor offers several features to optimize the user experience:

• Adjusting Viewing Angle: The monitor's screen can be tilted from -5° to 20° to achieve an optimal viewing angle. This flexibility helps reduce glare and improve ergonomic comfort. Users are advised to hold the stand when adjusting the angle to prevent the monitor from toppling and to avoid touching the LCD screen directly to prevent damage.
• Hotkeys for Quick Adjustments: The monitor includes dedicated hotkeys for quick access to frequently used functions without navigating through the full On-Screen Display (OSD) menu. These include:
  • Source/Auto/Exit: Used to select the input source or, when the OSD is closed, to perform an auto-configure function for D-Sub models by pressing and holding for approximately 2 seconds.
  • Clear Vision/<: Activates the Clear Vision function, which enhances low-resolution and blurry images for a clearer and more vivid display. Users can select between weak, medium, strong, or off settings. A Clear Vision Demo can be activated by pressing and holding this button for 5 seconds.
  • Volume/Image Ratio/>: Adjusts the volume when no OSD is active or switches between 4:3 and wide image ratios (if applicable and not disabled by input signal resolution).
  • Menu/Enter: Displays the OSD menu or confirms selections within the menu.
  • Power: Turns the monitor on or off.
• On-Screen Display (OSD) Settings: The OSD menu provides extensive control over various display parameters, categorized for easy navigation:
  • Luminance: Adjusts Contrast, Brightness, Eco Mode (Standard, Text, Internet, Game, Movie, Sports, Reading), Gamma (Gamma1, Gamma2, Gamma3), DCR (Dynamic Contrast Ratio - On/Off), and HDR Mode (Off, HDR Picture, HDR Movie, HDR Game). Note that when HDR Mode is active, Contrast, ECO, and Gamma settings are not adjustable.
  • Image Setup: Controls Clock, Phase, Sharpness, H. Position (Horizontal Position), and V. Position (Vertical Position) to fine-tune image clarity and alignment, particularly useful for analog signals.
  • Color Setup: Allows users to select Color Temperature (Warm, Normal, Cool, sRGB, User) and configure DCB Mode (Full Enhance, Nature Skin, Green Field, Sky-blue, AutoDetect, Off) and DCB Demo (On/Off). Individual Red, Green, and Blue gain adjustments are also available. Similar to Luminance, when HDR Mode is active, all Color Setup items are not adjustable.
  • Picture Boost: Features Bright Frame (on/off), Frame Size, Brightness, Contrast, H. Position, and V. Position for a specific area of the screen, allowing users to enhance a particular region for better viewing. This feature is also disabled when HDR Mode is active.
  • OSD Setup: Manages OSD Language, Timeout (duration the OSD remains on screen), H. Position, V. Position, Transparence, and Break Reminder (an alert for continuous work).
  • Game Setting: Offers specialized settings for gaming, including Game Mode (Off, FPS, RTS, Racing, Gamer 1, Gamer 2, Gamer 3), Shadow Control (adjusts dark area visibility), Overdrive (Off, Weak, Medium, Strong for response time), Game Color (adjusts saturation), LowBlue Mode (Reading, Office, Internet, Multimedia, Off to decrease blue light wave), Dial Point (an aiming indicator for FPS games), Adaptive-Sync (On/Off for smoother gameplay), and Frame Counter (displays V frequency). Many of these settings are not adjustable when HDR Mode is active.
  • Extra: Provides options for Input Select, Auto Config (for D-Sub models), Off Timer, Image Ratio (Wide, 4:3), DDC/CI (On/Off), and Reset to factory defaults.
• Adaptive-Sync Function: The monitor supports Adaptive-Sync technology, which synchronizes the monitor's refresh rate with the graphics card's frame rate to eliminate screen tearing and stuttering, providing a smoother gaming experience. • Cleaning: The cabinet should be cleaned regularly with a soft cloth and a mild detergent. Strong detergents should be avoided as they can damage the product cabinet. When cleaning, care must be taken to prevent liquid from leaking into the product, and the cleaning cloth should not be too rough to avoid scratching the screen surface. It is crucial to disconnect the power cord before cleaning the monitor.
• Power Management: The monitor should be operated only from the specified power source. Unplugging the unit during lightning storms or prolonged periods of disuse protects it from power surges. Overloading power strips and extension cords should be avoided to prevent fire or electric shock. Only the attached power adapter should be used.
• Installation and Ventilation: When installing the monitor, whether on a stand or wall-mounted, it is important to ensure adequate space around it for proper air circulation to prevent overheating. The monitor should not be placed on unstable surfaces, and objects should never be pushed into the cabinet slots. The front of the product should not be placed on the floor.
