Install SATA HDD of VT8237 into operating System Guide
*****************************************************************
1. When you want to install Windows 98SE or Windows ME by using one or more SATA HDD
* Make sure VT6420 RAID BIOS Setting Utility is executed by the system BIOS.
* Make sure the SATA HDD for installing the OS in the first hard disk drive (C :\).
* Install OS.
* Run setup.exe of VIA SATA RAID driver from Bonus CD after OS is installed.
2. When you want install Windows NT 4.0, 2000, or XP by using on e or more SATA HDD
* Prepare the VIA SATA driver floppy disk.
* Boot system.
* Make sure VT6420 RAID BIOS Setting Utility is executed by the system BIOS.
* Put on the Windows Setup CD then start setup.
* Press "F6" when OS installer starts running. The OS will remind you if you want to install third party of SCSI/RAID
driver
* Please insert VIA SATA RAID driver floppy disk.
* Please choose the driver (VIA VT6420 IDE Controller Driver/VIA VT6420 SATA RAID Controller Driver) you want to
install.
* Install OS.
* Run setup.exe of VIA SATA RAID driver from Bonus CD after OS is installed.
