6.7.12 Getting off the aircraft. Parking
Control that switches are off. Set the gas into basic position. Unfasten yourselves and the
passenger and get off the cabin. Apply parking brake and lock. Document the flight time if
already not done. The ultralight should be parked in a crosswind position. The rescue
system safety pin should be inserted before leaving the ultralight.
Fasten the control bar to the seat frame with the belt. Tie down the aircraft to the ground
if necessary. For a longer parking it is advised to remove the wing from the trike, to lay the
wing onto the ground and to loosen the wire stretching the sail. Remove the wash out tips
and fasten the sail to the ground with appropriate devices. Move the aircraft into hangar if
possible.
6.7.13 Getting prepared to a restart.
With no technical failure inherited from the former flight preparation is to be the repetition
of the pre flight check except the ignition check. Fuel, water and oil are to be controlled
and the tanks are to be replenished if necessary. Clean the windscreen, the leading
edges and the propeller.
NOTE
If the aircraft remained unobserved between two take off the pre-flight is to be completed
with increased attention-.
6.7.14 Post Flight Check.
This control is to be done after finishing every flying day.
If possible store the aircraft in clean and refueled state ready to fly. In order to fulfill
this repair the possible failures, complete the periodic checks, do the due
maintenance tasks and repairs, and treat the aircraft. Control the oil level in the
reductor, replenish it if necessary or change oil if actual. The control of the aircraft is
to be done in the same order as it was done at the preflight check. Ignition check.
may be omitted.
Post Flight Check and possible works done are to be documented in the Log Book of
the aircraft with the statement reporting whether the aircraft is serviceable or not. If
there exists any regular maintenance work which is due however it has not been
completed yet, the aircraft is to be considered as non-airworthy even if there is not
any failure on it!
6.7.15 Dismantling the Aircraft
If there is no hangar to store the aircraft it is to be dismantled partially up to the
necessary level. Partial dismantle means the removal of the wing from the trike and
the wing is stored separately but not in folded up state. If the wing is folded up it can
be stored in its sack.
