6.17) The middle length fixing of the canopy
on both sides, requires nut plate mid
mount bracket (668AQ026)
6.18) Using the break-away tab arm, push the
nut plate into the slot underneath the
side window lock mechanism cover
ensuring not to pinch wiring inside
during this process. If in doubt, remove
the top cover over the latch mechanism
to improve visibility for assembly.
Rear slot is used for the position of the
nut plate for each side of vehicle.
6.19) With 13mm socket and extension,
locate the corresponding hole under the
side tub rails, with M8 nut plate
(668AQ026) slid in position (per the
above step), screw the M8x35 hex head
screw (6151681) with an M8x19x1.2
washer (4581085) into the nut plate
(668AQ026) from underneath the side
tub rail.
Keep the nut plate square to the
canopy base rail on the inside by
using a flat blade screw driver to
hold it in place against the lock
mechanism cover and tighten the
bolt to 20 Nm.
6.20) Once assembled, break off the
protruding arm for the nut plate
(668AQ026).
Do both sides.
