Overview

The ARB Intensity Solis is a high-performance 4x4 accessory driving light designed to provide powerful illumination for off-road and demanding driving conditions. It is part of ARB's range of 4x4 accessories, emphasizing robust construction and advanced lighting technology.

Function Description:

The ARB Intensity Solis driving light serves as an auxiliary lighting solution for vehicles, significantly enhancing visibility beyond standard headlights. It is designed to project light over long distances and across a wide area, depending on the chosen beam pattern (spot or flood). The light integrates with the vehicle's high beam circuit and features a digitally controlled touchpad for intuitive operation and intensity adjustment. This allows the user to activate/deactivate the lights and fine-tune their brightness to suit various driving environments and preferences. The system is engineered for durability and reliability in harsh outdoor conditions, making it suitable for serious off-road enthusiasts and professionals.

  • Touchpad Control: The device features a unique, digitally controlled touchpad that integrates with the vehicle's high beam circuit and dash lamp.
    • Activation/Deactivation: Pressing the ARB logo on the touchpad activates the lights, illuminating the logo white and enabling control via the high beam circuit. Pressing the logo again deactivates them, turning the logo red to indicate standby mode.
    • Intensity Adjustment: Dedicated "UP" and "DOWN" buttons on the touchpad allow users to adjust the light output intensity. An intensity bar illuminates in steps (5%, 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%) to indicate the selected setting. The system remembers the last known intensity setting.
    • Illumination: The touchpad illuminates when the vehicle's illumination circuit is active.
  • Mounting Flexibility: The light can be installed in both vertical and horizontal orientations, allowing for versatile placement on bull bars or other flat mounting surfaces. The mount design facilitates precise adjustment of the light's aim.

  • Wiring Harness: ARB recommends the use of the ARB Intensity Solis Wiring Loom (Part number: SJBHARN), which is specifically designed for these lights and includes the in-vehicle Touchpad for dim control.

Maintenance Features:

  • No User Serviceable Components: The light unit is sealed, and users are explicitly advised not to disassemble it. Any service or repair should be handled by an authorized ARB distributor.
  • Cleaning:
    • Clean the light with warm soapy water and a soft sponge or brush.
    • Avoid using solvents, scourers, hard bristle brushes, or harsh wash chemicals, as these can damage the protective clear coat on the lens and lens cover.
    • Always rinse thoroughly after cleaning.
    • Periodically remove the clear cover to clean the main light lens underneath.
  • Connection and Mounting Checks:
    • Regularly ensure all electrical connectors and the wiring loom are secured away from sharp edges and hot surfaces.
    • Periodically check all mounting and adjusting bolts to ensure they remain secured and tight.
  • Warranty: ARB provides a warranty against defects in workmanship and materials for a period of 3 years from the date of purchase (1 year for commercial use). The warranty requires proper fitting according to product information, normal care and maintenance, and proof of purchase. It does not cover defects caused by improper use, incorrect fitting (outside an ARB Outlet), use of non-genuine ARB components, or use outside product requirements.
