2.6) Remove any adhesive tape or
adhesive residue from where
the top rubber extrusion was
fitted on the tailgate and wipe
clean with Prepsol / wax and
grease remover and a
Caramel wheel.
2.7) Use a 16mm drill bit and drill
out the four holes along top of
the tailgate liner by bending it
clear of the sheet metal
tailgate
2.8) Use a step drill or a reamer bit
to enlarge hole on liner to
21mm diameter. The hole
needs to be large enough to fit
through the spacers on the
back side of the tailgate door
stop assembly (668AQ027).
This can be checked using
spacer from the canopy
hardware (6253421)
temporarily.
