6.6. Charging of the measuring devices
The measuring devices (Elastometer, Inclinometer, Forcemeter, Anemometer) are charged via one
of the three charging channels of the Communication-Unit or the 8-Channel-Charger.
Hint:
If there are more devices to charge than charging channels available, the devices need to be charged
in sequence. When a device has finished charging the LED is turned OFF. Remove the device from
the COM-Unit.
DO NOT disconnect the DC plug from the DC-IN socket of the Com-Unit when swapping the
devices to charge.
Devices must be connected directly to the Com-Unit (or 8-Channel-Charger).
DO not charge sensors using the cable-manifold!
Disconnect the devices from the COM-Unit after charging. Turn the device ON and check for
sufficient voltage: 2,8V to 3V.
When the charging process stops after an unusual short time, an early shutdown has occurred. In
this case check the temperature of the instrument by hand. If it is not warmer then the ambient
temperature, disconnect the charging cable from this device and connect it again. An early shutdown
can occur if the accumulator was empty or the temperature of the instrument was very different to
the ambient temperature.
