Make sure the patient sits with the:
• buttocks at the back of the seat,
• back against the backrest and
• hands on the hand rest.
After the bath

Lower the bathtub to its lowest position.
Start the shower and let the patient feel
the water by hand. Adjust temperature if
needed. Shower the patient.
Open the drain.
If the hand rest is folded away, fold it
forward in front of the patient.
Lean the patient forward and rotate
forward the backrest-handle arm.
Fasten the safety belt.
Dry the patient and place towels
to keep him or her warm and
comfortable.

Raise the lift so there is space
between patient’s genitals and
the bathtub rim.
Shower and dry the patient’s feet.

Help the patient to move their legs
over the bathtub rim while rotating
the lift away from the bathtub.

Make sure the Alenti lift is
completely clear from
surrounding obstacles.
Lower the lift.
