Safety Instructions
The equipment must be
used in accordance with
these safety instructions.
Anyone using the
equipment must also have
read and understood the
instructions in this manual.
If there is anything you are
not sure about, contact
your local Arjo
representative.
General Instructions
Keep these safety instructions with the unit at all
times.
Read the Instructions for Use before installing,
operating, or servicing this equipment.
Sara Steady should only be used for the purpose
specified in this IFU. Any other use is prohibited.
Safe Working Load
The Sara Stedy has been designed with a capacity
of 182 kg (400 lb).
Important Safety Directions
Always carry out the recommended daily
maintenance before using the lift.
Always maneuver the Sara Stedy by using the
handles. Do not push on the legs.
Ensure that you are prepared before attempting
to transfer a patient.
Do not push the lift at a speed which exceeds a
slow walking pace (3 km/hour or 0.8 meter/
second).
An assessment of the suitability for transfer of
a patient who is connected to electrodes,
WARNING: To avoid injury, always place the
sling around the patient according to the
instructions enclosed.
WARNING: To avoid the device from tipping
and patient falling, do not use the equipment
on surfaces not easily rolled over such as
steps, thresholds and sidewalks.
